Medicare Part D ~ Prescription Drug Coverage
There are two ways to get Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage
Enroll in a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan that adds drug coverage to the Original
Medicare Plan, a Medicare Cost Plan, a Medicare Private Fee for Service Plan
Enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan
that includes prescription drug coverage as a part of the plan.
After you have enrolled the plan will mail you membership materials including a plan member card to use
when you get prescriptions. There may be a copayment, coinsurance and/or deductible that must be met.
Your costs will vary depending on which drugs you use, which Medicare drug plan you choose and whether
you qualify for assistance in paying your Medicare Part D costs.
